Ipoh Trip

wow.. unbelievable how time flies! and i haven't even touch this blog for so so long. It's kinda refrenshing i have got a new friend who join this blogging community and HS blogs so frequently, that i enjoyed reading his blog so much that i feel i must do something with mine!

Since it was all work for quite some time at HYS, lots of BDC, sort of semi-grand campaign, we needed time to relax and unwind. So that it's not all work and no play!
Spent the whole day in Ipoh. First Stop Gua Tempurung, then Lunch in Kampar, then Gunung Lang,( mini Kui Lin) and then Perak Tong.

Gua tempurung has improved quite a bit since the last time i was there. Well, the road is now a straight road! It's a steep climb. Bringing a group of 40 is much more slow moving then i have predicted. Tiring for some. But it's darker then i remembered. Love the wind Tunnel!

Gunung Lang, an amazingly beautiful place, we went for a serene boat ride. Hmm.. waiting time is long. Should skip this if you are in a hurry! Well, you know me, i am in love with any place with blue sky, white clouds and a bit of green! Haha.. Well, brough peice to my mind.

After we went shopping for some local Ipoh Goodies. was up on the bus babysitting the kids. Wow, the kids these days amazed me! I didn't know so many versions of Guang Liang's song!

Last stop Perak Tong, climb up some steep steps up to somewhere.. Was only up halfway due to time constraint. had a tough time climbing down! Scared the wits out of me. Am i scared of heights or what? I still remember i was so brave up in Macau Tower. Wonder why?

ALOOOOOOOOHA!!!!!

Scene 1:
arrived at Honolulu airport at around 7am. Travelled on a Wiki-wiki (old fashioned bus) to the main terminal. Well, hand-carry equipment were stuck at custom. Sien.Even after much negiotiation.

Scene 2:
Well, can't do much. Went to hotel. really beautiful place. The view is fan-bloody-tastic. Tried calling a couple of brokers to help out.. Apparently no one works on a Sunday. Well....

Scene 3:
Breakfast. Yummy! i love the burrito! Boss ordered Waffle with strawberry and cream. Yummmy!

Scene 4:
Was out walking on Waikiki beach. Was admiring the view while eating ice-cream. It's really so cool to be able to surf! Strong muscular man walking about topless with a surfboard is so darn cool. Sexy ladies in bikinis walking about with their float is also darn cute. THat's what Waikiki is about! Sun, Sea, Wave, Surf... I am already loving this place.

Scene 5:
Was chasing up DHL for our shipment. They finally arrive at 5:30pm. All the other folks has gone home. We were left all alone there setting up!

Scene 6:
Met up with Nigel, my old boss. It was really good to see him. Chat for quite a while about almost everything really. Everything and Everyone in UK. Gave him some postcards with scud3.

Scene 7:
Finally i get to know what trade show is all about. completely new experience for me. I do love it though, talking to people about our products, showing how it works, it was cool. So is the MTA running man! Talk to lots of people. Getting to know some of the other stuff my own company is doing.

Scene 8:

American portions are huge! Felt quite bad about wasting food. hmmm.....on the food stuff, boss introduced COLD STONE ice-cream to me! I love it! :) Veyr big grin on my face! well, i do have a sweet tooth!

Scene 9:

Street party on Kalakua Avenue. Cool, Reminds me of Hogmonay in Scotland. I missed Scotland, Whiskey and the cold weather.

My thoughts on Hawaii... I love it there. it's kinda strange that i miss Scotland lots when i am over there. It's a very relaxing place. I can just lie there all day looking at the sea and waves. Didn't manage to do that this trip. Ideal place to go for honeymoon. the weather is kind of nice too.. there's actually a cool breeze blowing on a hot day! Well, have to mentioned the hot chicks and hot surfers there too. Haha. Aloha! Mahalo!
