Stress

My rule is not to blog about work. But rules are meant to be broken. This morning, was suppose to carry out some test in Singapore. Shipment from penang didn't arrive yet! Whole day no mood. Initially wanted to go shopping.. butwas in the hotel so that i could make the phone calls and get updated and was studying my PCA in the mean time.

I learnt that even if i get stressed out, the shipment will not have arrive any earlier!

So i am just being stupid for not enjoying my day!

Anyway, FYI. Shipment arrived safely at 5pm! :)

XMAS 07

Watched Golden Compass with TT and CC. Afterthought: I enjoyed it but would like it better if i didn't feel the effect of the north pole so much. Was hugging myself so tightly to keep warm admist the north pole wind and snow! Love Mr. Polar Bear in the movie! He is funny in a dry way!

Went to Chilli's for dinner! Hmmm... the receptionist was so so grumpy! her face was worse than Mr. Scrooge on Xmas day! CC complained that it was too bright... then suddenly the lights went dim, they must have heard him! The salmon was delicious and so was the salad!

3 years on

Yes, 3 years since i came back from Bonny Scotland. Well, litterally the land of freedom and growth for me. Over there, basically, my motto is Try everything once. Haha.. And no, i don't do drugs nor Crime!

Just days with lots of pub, club crawls, parties! It's unbelievable how much alchohol i used to consume... and yes, even for breakfast! It's a wonder i didn't need to join the AA.

it's kind of strange that grey, dull Aberdeen is my favourite place! I suppose over there, we get to appreciate the snow as well the summer sun and the spring flowers much much more... The fresh sea breeze and mountain air all rolled into one and the clear fresh water from the upstream where salmons go spawning and (where water for whiskey making is tapped) .

Kinda missed all my good friends (SF,M, SP, A, J, G, S, A, S) i make over there as well. Wonder how some of you are doing now. It's kinda of a emotional roller coaster to have to made when i took the decision to come home.

Scotland, land of Haggis, Whiskey, Dolphins, Otters, kilts, ceiligh and bagpipes... ... I miss you!

Ipoh Trip

wow.. unbelievable how time flies! and i haven't even touch this blog for so so long. It's kinda refrenshing i have got a new friend who join this blogging community and HS blogs so frequently, that i enjoyed reading his blog so much that i feel i must do something with mine!

Since it was all work for quite some time at HYS, lots of BDC, sort of semi-grand campaign, we needed time to relax and unwind. So that it's not all work and no play!
Spent the whole day in Ipoh. First Stop Gua Tempurung, then Lunch in Kampar, then Gunung Lang,( mini Kui Lin) and then Perak Tong.

Gua tempurung has improved quite a bit since the last time i was there. Well, the road is now a straight road! It's a steep climb. Bringing a group of 40 is much more slow moving then i have predicted. Tiring for some. But it's darker then i remembered. Love the wind Tunnel!

Gunung Lang, an amazingly beautiful place, we went for a serene boat ride. Hmm.. waiting time is long. Should skip this if you are in a hurry! Well, you know me, i am in love with any place with blue sky, white clouds and a bit of green! Haha.. Well, brough peice to my mind.

After we went shopping for some local Ipoh Goodies. was up on the bus babysitting the kids. Wow, the kids these days amazed me! I didn't know so many versions of Guang Liang's song!

Last stop Perak Tong, climb up some steep steps up to somewhere.. Was only up halfway due to time constraint. had a tough time climbing down! Scared the wits out of me. Am i scared of heights or what? I still remember i was so brave up in Macau Tower. Wonder why?

To be an enlighten Buddha who no longers cycle about this world of torture?



Well, for me is the process and pursuit of happiness. To be, it is not a question of only what, but also how. I enjoyed winning a game of pool but i also must enjoy the company, the beer, the location, and each shot of how i place the cue ball! Well, actually i am hopeless in this game, missing all the easy shots. But i find lots of happiness playing this game crapily, not too sure about my opponents! But am sure they always have a good laugh, no other reason for them to play such a crappy player like me!

Be happy, be peaceful, be contented. That's victory for me!

Farewell in Batu Ferringhi for our dear HY!

Sorry for not updating, there's still hawaii part II and part III to be updated. Stay tuned. But TT requested this update of our weekend for HY.

Let's see, we went to have our lunch, eating chicken and siew yok rice again! (well, we have been eating chicken for the past 4 days!) Then, we headed up to Ritz, our favorite cake shop! Each of us bought a piece of cakes. To be consumed before ST arrive. Haha...

Well, we arrive at Holiday Inn and checked in. Took ages, the service was so damm slow! Anyway, we got our room and went in to change and jump straight to the pool. The pool was cool, i just paddled here and there as i couldn't swim. we practically had the pool to ourselves until some Angmo join us with their nice big float which makes us really jealous. We wanted the floats too!

After swimming, we went back to our room for a shower. HY was the first! I was guffing down Cheesels when HY burst out saying the glass door in the shower cubicle is broken. Wow..scared me. Luckily what she meant was that the hinge on the door is broken. The door is still intact, thank god. TT, our top marketing woman of course managed to get us an upgrade to a room with view and balcony! Thanks TT!

By the time all of us showered and moved to other room, ST and CC arrive and join us eating our Ritz cake. So much for our plan hatched earlier! Anyway, after that, we went to the ting ting room. we played football, pool, darts and ting ting!

Had dinner and played category 5 after that! Well, i managed to loose big time, now i owe them Ice-cream, Milo Shake, and char koay kak! bah! what a loser! We continued playing till TT and bf left at 1. I went to take a long half bath cum shower. Smelling nice and feeling ready for bed, HY wanted supper! So, we went out for mamak. CC gave us a treat! Thanks CC!

Oh Ya, dreamt of HY complaining about food in penang compared to Butterworth. Haha! So funny. Scared CC ... as he heard someone laughing, well, he shouldn't be, a happy ghost is a friendly ghost anyway!

We spent the next morning playing tai ti and lying on the deck chairs by the beach. Check out the photos in HY, ST friendster. I am too lazy to upload any here. Gtg back to work. :(

HY, will miss you loads when you go to China! how, how, no one to come to ask me to go make tea in the morning, no one to buy tao hu hua for me! :(.... wanna cry already...... wishing you and your LF all best here too and be happy always!

ALOOOOOOOOHA!!!!!

Scene 1:
arrived at Honolulu airport at around 7am. Travelled on a Wiki-wiki (old fashioned bus) to the main terminal. Well, hand-carry equipment were stuck at custom. Sien.Even after much negiotiation.

Scene 2:
Well, can't do much. Went to hotel. really beautiful place. The view is fan-bloody-tastic. Tried calling a couple of brokers to help out.. Apparently no one works on a Sunday. Well....

Scene 3:
Breakfast. Yummy! i love the burrito! Boss ordered Waffle with strawberry and cream. Yummmy!

Scene 4:
Was out walking on Waikiki beach. Was admiring the view while eating ice-cream. It's really so cool to be able to surf! Strong muscular man walking about topless with a surfboard is so darn cool. Sexy ladies in bikinis walking about with their float is also darn cute. THat's what Waikiki is about! Sun, Sea, Wave, Surf... I am already loving this place.

Scene 5:
Was chasing up DHL for our shipment. They finally arrive at 5:30pm. All the other folks has gone home. We were left all alone there setting up!

Scene 6:
Met up with Nigel, my old boss. It was really good to see him. Chat for quite a while about almost everything really. Everything and Everyone in UK. Gave him some postcards with scud3.

Scene 7:
Finally i get to know what trade show is all about. completely new experience for me. I do love it though, talking to people about our products, showing how it works, it was cool. So is the MTA running man! Talk to lots of people. Getting to know some of the other stuff my own company is doing.

Scene 8:

American portions are huge! Felt quite bad about wasting food. hmmm.....on the food stuff, boss introduced COLD STONE ice-cream to me! I love it! :) Veyr big grin on my face! well, i do have a sweet tooth!

Scene 9:

Street party on Kalakua Avenue. Cool, Reminds me of Hogmonay in Scotland. I missed Scotland, Whiskey and the cold weather.

My thoughts on Hawaii... I love it there. it's kinda strange that i miss Scotland lots when i am over there. It's a very relaxing place. I can just lie there all day looking at the sea and waves. Didn't manage to do that this trip. Ideal place to go for honeymoon. the weather is kind of nice too.. there's actually a cool breeze blowing on a hot day! Well, have to mentioned the hot chicks and hot surfers there too. Haha. Aloha! Mahalo!

Reunion 30 years on

well, just had dinner with my dad's uni mate from 30 years ago. Well, they havent' kept in touch in the last 30 years. Both of them are balding old men now... Hee Hee.. they said they could recognise each other when they open the door.. Well, this guy met my dad in his hotel room. He won a lucky draw and came to stay for 2 nights. Hence this was a surprise visit!

Wonder if i will freak out if someone call me up like that 30 years on!

eeks.. had a full dinner, wasted my effort of playing badminton in the afternoon. Broke the strings of my racket.

Apparently, when you buy a roof, you should expect it to be leaking since it is not stated in the contract that it has to be waterproof! After a 90 million renovation, now they need another 22 million to inspect all the buildings! Gosh, Dun you think someone should be held responsible for wasting millions??? I work my ass off, paid my taxes and for what? roads are full of holes, roof is leaking, petrol prices keeps going up up up!

i really wonder what prompt ppl to take their own life. How do you make such a decision? I mean, i can't even bear it when i need to put my dog down. And that was becos he was so sick and in so much pain. In the old days with Romeo and Juliet,they do it for LOVE. In modern times, because of their JOBS. I know life is not a bed of rosses, it is an uphill, sometimes even an almost impossible journey. I for one, strongly believe that we caMe onto this life to learn, not only 1 but many many lessons. And it is through the hardships that we have to endure that we learn and grow!

Well, enough of all this stuff. i need to watch lots of episodes of Simpsons to get over this!

LXI and postcards

Attended LXI training with TT this afternoon. Spent more time fiddling with the PC than paying attention in class. Both us have a very short attention span. That's the excuse anyway. Well, i get to learn the important stuff. When i got back to work to show off my new skill, Ivan and ST were laughing their heads off, commenting that i spent 3 hours learning to press buttons! As the saying goes, it not about pressing buttons, it's to know which buttons to press that count! Duh!

Love the new postcard which are TT's idea! Really Cheesy, Jazzy and Cool! She will pengsan now from all the praises as i know she do read my blog! Well, TT, everyone love them and from the number of request i have to fix a lovely hawaiian stamps to post to their loved ones, you know all of them love your work and want to share them! well, i suppose partly could be due to the cool running man! I love him, and it was love at first sight, well, i know the rest of the guys love him too! Haha.. i better stop here before it get too "geli"

Up late tonight

my colleague noticed i am up late tonight for a change.. Was writing the minutes of meeting for my BDC in chinese. Need to improve my chinese. ( this has been my new year resolution every year when i was in school!) Wonder do people still force the poor students to write this every year???

hmmm... went for my first facial in my life last night... cool... pampered... was quite strange at first.. not used to have the face massaged like that... but then it was kind of nice! could certainly get used to this... Face looks brighter, shinnier, and hence..... i look fatter... hmmm...i already have a fat face... anyway, maybe time for a new haircut to go with my new bright face
