Argghhh... why is it that ppl are so pessimistic. People are asking me "Are you happy with the new government?"
What sort of question is that? PM hasn't even announce his cabinet, Our new CM is just on his job less than a week! Yes, i know, there are squabbles in the perak side etc.. Come on, give these people a break! The Opp. didn't expect to win, so now, they have to work together to put the best foot forward.
Let me quot Harris Ibrahim here "Let’s be fair as bosses. Let’s recognise that our employees come from all backgrounds, in all shapes and sizes, with different experiences, inclinations and carrying all sorts of emotional garbage ranging from disappointments to even resentment and rage. "
Over here, the bosses, he means the ppl and the employees are the MPs you just voted in... Let's us be fair bosses! Some of the MPs may be seasoned politicians, some are new kids on the block and for the majoirty of them, this is their first time. Give them a chance to work things out, they do know, who is the bosses this time round and they are trying to perform under tremendous stress! Imagine you are a contract worker, and your boss keeps telling you, bye bye if you don't perform, kiss the next contract goodbye! Can't we be nice and encourage them a bit with some kind words? Wouldn't you rather work with a boss who is kind and encouraging and has confidence in you?
Back to the question if i am happy with the election results, and of course the answer is a resounding "Yes!" and dun ask me that again! Our country needs a stronger opposition, a shadow cabinet..etc.. to make sure everyone is making their best effort to do the right thing. I do agree, maybe too much policing will make policies slow to take off and maybe good policies will never take off due to childish debates (as we are see-ing now) Some MPs squabbling over candies in some state and with some very sore losers around as well !
The 2nd thing that pissed me off today is that racial/race based politics is still very alive. It's always Bumi, Cina, India and Lain-lain. I do realise now that there are very few Raja Petra's, Harris Ibrahim around, and that's really where both these guys has earned my respect. I know it is hard to change this deeply entrenched mentality, but we really have to CHANGE NOW!
I voted for CHANGE!
Please CHANGE!
And last but not least, there's a lot of rumours flying around- about riots, ceramah etc.. Please be responsible citizens and VERIFY your fact before forwarding the SMS, emails! Remember, you are creating chaos if you just forward these messages, even if you think it is for the good of your friends when your message turns out to be nothing but just a malicious rumour!
