Was playing my role as a tourist guide again! Hmm.. Well, i haven't played this role for over a year!
Well, abandoned my Penang Hill plans - as i saw bus loads of ppl heading this way up.. Just can't be bothered to spend my time q-ing! So, i took Ali for a walk at the Youth Park! I was surprised that it is jam-packed! It was a nice morning walk anyway, i was surprised they have managed to built up Youth Park very nicely, with some small pool for children and even roller blading park! cool! Wish i was a kid again! All their outdoor gym equipment are in splendid conditions. All are in working conditions! Bravo to the municipal of Penang. It was certainly a job well done! They do deserve a pat on their back!
After we had our drink of water, we were all sweaty by then, I decided to go peranakan mansion. I was kinda dissapointed that it was close! Damm! So I proceeded to Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, too late, they are only now open for tours at 11 and 3. Damm! Well, it's kinda sad state of affairs that these 2 restored heritage building (after some kind rich soul spending millions on them) that the publicity for visit penang is so poor that they are not making enough money to pay their staff to man the place! Something needs to be done to bring in more tourist to our pearl of the orient- penang as it used to be known! Penang has quite a lot of attractive places, even locals don't know them! i have been introducing lots of them to even penangites themselves! I hope the present state government will be able up to polish up this faded diamond!
